Ballard’s Receives 2014 Best of Kingwood Award

KINGWOOD, Texas  — Ballard’s Professional Pest has been selected for the 2014 Best of Kingwood Award in the Pest Control category by the Kingwood Award Program.  Each year, the Kingwood Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Kingwood area a great place to live, work and play also keeping up with cleaning.  Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. On Saturday, January 28th, Kingwood Rotarian, Donna Ballard, were honored as FamilyTime’s “2001 Women of Achievement” from FamilyTime Crisis and Counseling Center.  The Hearts of Gold Gala honoring 13 women that have made a difference in the lives of others was held at the Marriott Airport Hotel.  The purpose of the gala is to focus attention on domestic violence, and the needs to the victims.  There were 142 candles burning at the gala in remembrance of the 142 victims that died last year in Texas due to domestic violence.  The Kingwood Rotary Club sponsored a table at the event, and also donated $2,000 at the event to FamilyTime.

Donna Ballard was honored in the category of outstanding “Volunteer”.  A total of 10 Kingwood Rotarians, plus family and friends, attended the event to support and honor this special Kingwood Rotarian.
